Dietz Enterprises is an IT services and additive-manufacturing business in Monrovia, Maryland, working with businesses across Frederick County and beyond. You talk to the person doing the work — every time.
We are a business-to-business firm. Our customers are companies that depend on their systems working and on parts arriving when promised — professional practices, workshops and manufacturers, contractors, retailers, and other small firms without an in-house IT department.
A sole trader or a one-person company is absolutely a business as far as we’re concerned, and some of our best work is at that scale. What we don’t take on is household IT support or personal 3D printing projects for private individuals. That’s not snobbery — it’s that the way we quote, schedule, and invoice is built around business needs, and we’d serve a consumer badly by pretending otherwise.
The combination looks unusual until you see the pattern. Both halves of the business are about the same thing: taking something a business needs to exist — a system that works, a part that isn’t made any more — and making it exist, on a date, for a price agreed in advance.
On the technology side, the focus is cloud and web hosting and helping businesses put AI to work on top of it, supported by architecture, security, and the networking that keeps a site connected to the services it now depends on. On the manufacturing side, it means production FDM printing from models our customers supply, across eight filaments including PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, and polycarbonate, with an enclosed machine and soluble supports for geometry most shops turn away.
We’re based in Monrovia, Maryland. On-site IT work and print collection are straightforward across Frederick County and the surrounding area, and we’ll travel further for project work. Printed parts ship nationwide, and advisory work happens remotely as easily as in person — plenty of our architecture and security engagements are with businesses we’ve never had to drive to.
There isn’t a floor. A one-person consultancy that needs its backups sorted out is a perfectly good customer, as is a workshop ordering forty printed fixtures. What matters is that it’s a business — we don’t take on private household work.
Yes. Nothing is bundled. Plenty of customers use us for printing and have their own IT provider, or the reverse. We’re happy to work alongside an existing provider — tell us where the boundary is and we’ll document the handover.
Sometimes, and it’s genuinely useful when it happens — a manufacturer whose systems we look after and whose fixtures we print gets one contact for both. But there’s no expectation and no discount pressure to take both.
Describe the problem in a few sentences on the contact page. For printing, tell us which model format you have, the quantity, and the date you need it; we will reply with secure file-transfer instructions. Specifics get a specific answer back within one business day; a general enquiry gets a general one.
A couple of sentences is a great start. We’ll come back with a plan, a price, and a date — or an honest referral somewhere better suited.
